This is mama COOKIE. When she arrived at the shelter in November 2023, she brought with her three puppies that were just three days old. Since then they got big enough to be adopted, leaving mama on her own. In the meantime, mama developed a problem with one eye that had to be removed. However, she had to be treated with antibiotics for a period of time before that could occur. Afterwards, she has been given sufficient time to heal before she is once again being made available for adoption. Just so you know, it was quite expensive for the work to be done to her eye because of the specific problem that was involved. It was paid for by generous donations from the public that were made during the year without any knowledge that it would be used in this particular manner when the need arose. No special fundraising was undertaken to raise the needed money. COOKIE is listed as a Terrier mix, and she weighed 36 pounds when she first arrived at the shelter. Staff has estimated her at 3 to 4 years of age and listed her coloring as chocolate with white markings. Obviously, mama has not yet been spayed and that must be done before she can go home with you as your own. Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared!
