**** Please read adoption information carefully!!!**** Cookie is a sweet, loving little girl! She is very curious, athletic, affectionate and loving. She can be a little skeptical at first, but warms up quickly with treats and affection. She loves to be loved on, played with, and encouraged. Cookie is very playful and would do best in a home with at least one other canine companion. She is very affectionate and definitely a lap dog. When not playing or investigating the yard, she prefers to snuggle and curl up on your lap, the chair, or one of the other dogs. Cookie is a well-adjusted young lady, although she finds open backed stairs intimidating. All of the puppies at the rescue are fed together, and typically choose to share three or four bowls. Cookie Is happiest sharing a bowl with a friend or picking up any kibble that spills Cookie is used to playing and sleeping with the other dogs on the property. She absolutely adores Monty; they are just like two peas in a pod. While I have never seen her interact with a cat, I have no reason to anticipate a problem. ************************************ ADOPTION INFORMATION ************************************ I only adopt LOCALLY; San Diego and immediate vicinity. No long distance. Certainly no out of state. I cannot respond to questions as to whether the animal is available. Please DO NOT contact me asking if the animal is available. A home check and a background check are part of the adoption process. An adoption interview will be conducted. One of our volunteers must meet and observe the dog interact with every member of the household, including pets.
