My Story

Meet Cooper, our newest rescue! This little guy was found by a group of college students in San Antonio, tied to a tree downtown with fishing line. Despite taking him to several local shelters, they were turned away each time. Fortunately, one of our foster families was volunteering at the city shelter, heard Cooper's story, and reached out to us for help. Cooper is just 3 months old, weighs 8 pounds, and is bursting with personality and energy. He quickly warmed up to the other dogs in his foster home and loves to play with them! After burning off his energy, he loves to curl up on the couch or in someone’s lap for a good nap. Cooper is currently working on his kennel training and potty training. He is not a fan of the kennel at first and will cry to get out. However, he has had no "accidents" while in his crate! He is doing very well with his potty training. Cooper loves kids! However, he is a baby and does "nip" since he is teething so we would recommend no children under 5-6 years old. Though we're unsure of his exact breed, we anticipate he'll be a smaller medium-sized dog. Our current breed guesses include whippet, basenji, Jack Russell terrier, and possibly Carolina dog.
