Copper

Meet Copper. If you’re looking for your new best friend and cuddle bug you’ve come to the right place! This boy is nothing if not a loving and affectionate dog who loves to be next to his people. He gets so happy when you sit down next to him as he loves to snuggle right up and place his sweet head in your lap. One of his favorite things to do is to play fetch and he will even drop the ball on command. Copper loves going on walks and he walks very well with the help of his gentle leader harness. On his walks he is completely unfazed by other dogs, children, squirrels or cats. He does great with other dogs. He is currently living with an older dog in his foster home and while they play a little he is also very respectful of her space and knows when it’s time to rest. Copper is housebroken and crate trained, he sleeps in his crate at night, and he does not get on furniture. He is not a high energy dog. A 30-minute ball throwing session or other exercise is good for him.  He would do best in an active home that can give him plenty of attention and love, and a moderate amount of exercise. Copper was turned in by his owners because they had two children ages 2 and 10 months and Copper was not comfortable around them.  He was fine with the 10-year-old. Copper has been neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated. He is red with natural ears and a docked tail.  He is 5 years old. He is a big boy, weighing almost 90 lbs. His adoption fee is $350.  His adopter must live within an hour's drive of Atlanta.
