My Story

Makeover. He is a Super Sweet Chunky Monkey weighing in at 34lbs of Blubber after getting his hair cut. Please don't take the blubber comment as a insult to him I think it's actually kind of funny because when he walks he has this waddle and Strut that makes you want to sing Stayin Alive and do the Happy Dog Hop. I will try to get a video of that for you but it's absolutely funny and I know you'll see it and think of that song when you see him in person. He's good for grooming everything except for his feet. He does not appreciate his toenails being cut so a muzzle is required but he does calm down and he does not like his pads shaved because it tickles his toes. This boy is so fat because he's been fed nothing but people food his entire 5 years and the gentleman that surrendered him to the vet Dr Bentley at Clark County Animal Clinic. His wife left him for another man and this man I don't even know his name decided that he wasn't equipped to care for him and decided that he was going to bring him to the vet and see if they could take him or put him down. Dr Bentley being who she is said I will figure out a solution for him and she contacted me to see if I can get him into Russell rescue. I took him for several walks when he was in my care and he walks well on a leash and he potties outside and he never once pottied in his kennel. This boy is a catch to someone who's willing to take him for regular walks and make sure he sticks to his diet so he can lose a little bit of weight because I'm not going to lie this boy is a little bit of a bowling ball At proper weight for his size he should wait about 25 lbs Max.Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else.
