My Story

Adoption Event Schedule Events run from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM every month at these locations: 2nd Saturday, Sacramento - Pet Food Express 3rd Saturday, Modesto - PetSmart 4th Saturday, Roseville - Pet Food Express Please visit the GCGSR Rescue Page for specific address information. Adoption Fee $300.00 Cream Puff is a 5.5 year old female White Shepherd. She was recently returned as she was determined to get outside of the house, including going through a screen on a window. The yard wasn't completely fenced and the family feared she'd be hit by a car. Cream Puff had really bad teeth and all but two have been extracted. She is in a foster home with a smaller 11 lb. female dog and Kash, a 100+ alumni German Shepherd. The two like to chase after balls, although Cream Puff has a hard time keeping hold of the ball without all of her teeth. We're told she gets along with kids of all ages well. Cream Puff is housebroken, uses a dog door, and knows some basic commands. She is also crate trained. She walks pretty good on leash and is good in the car. Cream Puff would do best in a home with another male companion dog. Cats and small critters unknown. Level 2 Understanding Dog Levels Please be sure you understand what a dog of this Level requires. Go to our home page for an explanation of the Dog Rating Levels. (https://www.gcgsr.org/dogs.html#levels) Additional Adoption Information For more information and to see when this dog will be attending an Adoption Day, please see our Dogs page on our main website. (https://www.gcgsr.org/adopt_info.html) We operate within a reasonable driving distance from the Greater Sacramento area, the Central Valley down to Merced, and Lake Tahoe. A reasonable driving distance is determined by where one of our volunteers is willing to drive within our areas of service. That means we don't adopt out of our area, to Southern California, or out of state. Puppy Requirements We have special Requirements for Adopting a Puppy and a separate Puppy Questionnaire that must be completed on puppies. Please see our Requirements for Adopting a Puppy (https://www.gcgsr.org/puppies.html) email us at [email protected] for more information. Thank you for visiting!
