My Story

Meet Creed! Creed is a special guy. From being failed by his owners to living in the shelter for 4 months, this little boy had to grow up fast. He is kennel trained, potties outside, doesn't chase the free range ducks around the yard, has not been destructive (but also opportunities have been limited), and he is dog friendly with proper intros. His kennel is his safe place and sometimes he goes in there on his own. He sleeps most of the day and has been left alone for 4-5 hours with no accidents. He walks easy on the leash and takes treats gently! He loves his person and will follow you around the house. When out in the yard he goes off but will always come back to you, especially if you call him. Creed takes guidance from my mature dogs really well. He wants to play but is respectful of my older and roughhousing dogs (2yr male and 5 year alpha female). He could do well with dog siblings but I also think he would be just fine on his own. As always proper and slow introductions will benefit him. When I first introduced him to my pets he was a calm. But he'll need a person who can give him confidence and guidance if/when he is uncertain. Creed loves toys, will probably chew up plush toys, but but if he has a rope toy he will carry it around the house with it dragging between his feet. He does carry his BFF frog around with him too. It's almost like a comfort blanket for him. Creed tries to be helpful! He will bring you your shoes, clothes, his leash, anything really and give it you to hold. I'm sure with better training this behavior could be useful! Typical lab behavior! Creed is a great dog that was saved from the euthanasia list with only hours to spare. He has been through a lot and deserves a golden life filled with love and snuggles. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
