Introducing Cricket, a beautiful 5 month old black mouth cur mix who deserves her chance at a loving family! Sadly, Cricket is the result of a major problem in the South where too many people do not spay and neuter their pets. A roaming neighborhood dog gave birth to EIGHT puppies! Thankfully a kind lady in our community took them under her wing, got mama fixed, and started the arduous task of raising these pups! She reached out to us for help and we're making it our mission to help find them all wonderful families! And that's where you come in! Black mouth curs make great pets as they are sweet, gentle, and strongly devoted to their family. A DNA test on her would be interesting to see what other breeds she reveals... maybe some Rhodesian Ridgeback? Cricket is good with kids and other dogs, making her an ideal fit for any household. She hasn't been tested with cats so if your household includes felines let us know and we'll assess her. Cricket's rugged dwelling has been outdoor living 24/7. She has constant access to shade, water, and of course food at meal times, but this is not the life any pup should live for long... especially not in the extreme Mississippi heat during the summer! We would love to find Cricket a home where she can be spoiled as she always deserved! We selected "not housetrained" for her listing because she's currently living outside and we haven't been able to observe her inside a home. We know that Cricket is an intelligent pup who we expect to swiftly grasp the ropes and rhythms of her new environment with gentle guidance from her forever family. Cricket is such a precious pup and her wrinkly forehead is so endearing! She would love to trade her tree trunks and mud puddles for a cozy spot in your home! We conduct virtual meet and greets for out-of-town applicants and offer transport (the adoption fee includes transport to your location) to many neighboring and northeastern states. At this time we are not able to transport into Massachusetts and Rhode Island. **We cannot guarantee breed mix or size once full grown. We make our best guess on breed based on any known family history and observable characteristics. The adult dog in the video is not the mama dog. The mama is a black mouth cur mix. We also do not know how big this puppy will grow. All eight siblings are quite large for 5 months, so we expect them to be BIG and could easily grow well over 60lbs
