My Story

Daisy is a courtesy post for Akron Rescue Team (ART). She is not a Paws and Prayers pup, but we're happy to play a part in helping her find her forever home. This tiny girl is just 3 years old and as sweet as they come (with just a wee bit of spice). Daisy weighs about 6-7 lbs. If you are a fan of Chihuahuas, you will adore this pint-sized diva. Like many of her breed, Daisy will be your ride-or-die. She is as loyal as they come and wants nothing more than to be with her person. Because of that, she'll play hard to get at first meetings and it'll likely take a few days to win her over, but once you do, she'll be your personal velcro bestie. She'll stick to you like glitter on a craft project. Daisy is very chill in the house and will either want to be in her person's lap or burrowed under a cozy blanket (even on an 80-degree summer day!), but she'll eagerly leave her 'nest' to go on her daily neighborhood walks. She's also a good car rider and happily rides shotgun while running dog-friendly errands. She'll be your furry co-pilot, always ready for the next adventure (especially if they involve a puppuccino). While she tolerates her foster siblings like a lady, Daisy has made it clear that she wouldn't mind being an 'only child'. At the very least, a lap that she doesn't need to share is HIGH on her wishlist. Why share the throne when you can rule solo, right? She is housebroken but, because of her little bladder, needs potty breaks every few hours. Bad weather? Might want to keep the paper towels handy. Although, potty pads may be an option with a little training. Daisy is quiet as long as someone is home with her. If she's left alone though, she will let all the neighbors know of this injustice (take note if you share a wall). Keep in mind that Chihuahuas are known to be one of the longest living dog breeds, with the potential to reach 20 years old. At just 3, we want to do everything we can to help ensure Daisy finds a forever family who can give her a lifetime of stability. Daisy is spayed and up to date on her shots. Her Akron Rescue Team adoption fee is $250. Please contact [email protected] if you need any further information. Think you're a match? Submit your application for Daisy at https://pawsandprayers.org/adoption-application, and we will forward it to A.R.T. for review.
