My Story

Daisy the Dachshund is looking for a new home. She is an easy girl who meets everyone happily. Daisy even gave the vet kisses after being poked with a needle. She does well with other dogs and is housetrained. Daisy gets very excited at feeding time and when you pick up a leash, she is ready to go. She likes to be with her people and jumps up on the couch to sit beside them. At night she curls up in a dog bed and doesn’t get up until her people do. Daisy weighs 15 pounds and her vet records say she is 14 years old. We would have never guessed she is 14, and suspect she is younger. She doesn’t have any health or mobility issues. Daisy has been well cared for all of her life. She outlived her original owners who were two great aunts, then she outlived the grandmother of the young woman who ended up with her. That young woman was not prepared to have a dog and surrendered her to rescue. Daisy is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. She has had regular dentals and has 6 teeth left. If you would like to meet Daisy, please complete the adoption application on our?website at www.furfunrescue.org.? If you?have questions about?Daisy please contact [email protected] or call 319-929-6657.? Adopters must be within a two-hour radius of Cedar Rapids, IA.? Indoor homes only.? Adoption fee is $250.?
