ADOPTED 7-31-09, thank you Mike and Trish of Rathdrum, ID! ********************************************************************************************************************UPDATE 7-22-09. We have decided, the more time we spend with Daisy, that she is definately some sort of terrier mix. She has a minimally shedding wire coat, with a softer undercoat. She's the size and shape of a Soft Coated Wheaten, just the wrong color. She's quite fiesty, likes to play fetch, chase balls (and cats) and is very loyal and obedient. She is a HIGH energy girl, without being hyper. She needs daily exercise to keep her happy. *********************************************************************************************************************IN 4-12-09. Rescued from a small, Southern ID rural shelter. She was listed as a Germ. Wirehaired Pointer, but she's not. She's very petite, only weighs 38#s. She is 18 months old, so still a puppy really. She has a very unique salt/pepper coat, almost merle... I really think she could be an Australian Shepherd, or Bearded Collie mix also.....Commonly called a "Pahsimeroi Fuzzy" these dogs were bred to be multipurpose herding dogs. She has a mixed sheep dog/herding dog/cattle dog background. They are bred primarily by the Basque people in that area for combination cattle/sheep dogs for their huge, migratory flocks. Natural bobbed tail, nice wavy, wiry double coat to protect her from the sage brush in that area. Super good with kids. Alpha with other dogs, likes to be the boss, possessive of food and toys. Very little shedding. Extremely eager to please, and SMART, boy is she smart. Looking for a "smarter" owner, who's active and outdoorsy, but still likes cuddle time on the couch! She's shown that she likes to chase cats, but I don't think she'd actually hurt one, but it sure makes the cats around here uneasy, so a home without them is being sought.
