Dakota has found his forever home with his foster family, Kevin and Meghan in Providence, RI

Meet wonderful Dakota. He is a 35 pound, 1 yr old, sheltie/golden mix, as best we can tell. He is super sweet. He loves all people, especially children. Here's a quote from his foster mom "When I picked him up from the vet after his neuter, there were children in the waiting room and he loved them. He propped his front legs in one little boy's lap and just looked up at him with the most loving expression. It was a kodak moment. I had a hard time coaxing him away from those kids. He was so gentle with them." He is also great with other dogs and he lives with several cats. "He does love to chase the cats and some don't appreciate it, but he is only trying to play." At his foster home in TN, he is living outdoors on the screened in back porch but has been allowed indoors for hours at a time and has not had house accidents. His foster mom describes his ideal home this way: "any home that wants a practically perfect dog and will invest a little time in combing and grooming his hair because it is thick. He will love the cold North and he would be really happy in a home with children." Can you give this gorgeous boy a loving home? His adoption fee is $400.

We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area. THERE IS NO SPECIFIC SHELTER LOCATION. If you wish to meet our dogs, you must first be approved by going through our application and screening process.

Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee.
