Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Damu, 4 year old, neutered male, pitbull mix, 45 pounds. Damu is in a foster home in Federal Way, WA and is ready for meet and greets! Damu is incredibly dog friendly - big, small, male, female, old, young, outgoing or reserved, he gets along with them all!! He has great dog manners and enjoys romping and roaming, wrestling and playing with the dogs he meets. He is a medium energy guy who falls into place well with the group and picks up on behavioral cues without fail. He's been with a bossy female, a young puppy, etc. and gotten along exceptionally. He tends to be a vocal, body slamming kind of dog but is not mouthy with people or dogs. Damu is nearly always found with a toy, his bed, or a shoe in his mouth - he never chews on things he shouldn't and will let you take them away from him, but he finds lots of solace in having his "things" nearby. He shares his toys and treats well with other pups, and will absolutely do anything you wish for a tasty snack...he can hear you miles away opening a bag of chips and suddenly, he's right there at your foot begging for a morsel to be shared! Damu has solid house manners - he is not destructive, rides well in the car, is house and kennel trained, but could use improvement in his leash skills, as he is a very strong puller. A Gentle Leader head collar or harness, along with simple practice, will help him here. We have not history with cats. Damu is in a foster home with young children (2y and 4y), and while he has done well, he does not like how unpredictable kids are and can be too active for toddlers, so we would suggest a home with kids 10 years or older. Damu loves love and giving/receiving affection, and is very sweet with all he meets. He will bark at new people while he's in his crate but once loose, he's all wiggles and playful pittie energy. While Damu is certainly confident enough to live as an only pet, he would be thrilled to have a playful sibling in his furever home. He will thrive with a moderately active home offering an outlet for his need to play and get that physical exertion, before cuddling up on the couch for the evening. ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown.
