Introduction: Hello there! My name is Danny, and I am a brave and loving pup who's had a tough start in life. I was found in a cardboard box in a kind person's driveway as a puppy, covered in scars, and suffering from serious eye infections. But thanks to the love and care of my rescuers, I'm now a happy and healthy boy, eager to find my forever home. I'm now three years old and a little over forty pounds. Background: I was rescued by a "good sam" who couldn't ignore my helpless state. I had never experienced any care or kindness before, so I was initially a very timid puppy. With months of vet visits and medications, my eyes healed, and my ulcers and entropion were corrected. Now, I manage my eyes with daily medication, and I do great with it! Personality: I'm a resilient and loving boy who craves love and guidance. While I've grown up in the shelter setting, I haven't had the chance to experience much outside of here. This makes me quite shy and fearful in new situations and when meeting new people. But with patience and love, I know I can overcome my fears. Compatibility: I would benefit greatly from having another dog in my forever home. A furry friend can give me the guidance and support I need to become more confident. However, introductions to potential dog siblings should be done carefully to ensure a good fit. Due to my timidity, I would do best in a home without young children. Training and Care: I need a home that will be patient with me and willing to continue my training. I'm still learning that the world isn't so scary, and with love and positive reinforcement, I know I can thrive.
