Chastity Nefzger Fri, Jun 28, 8:51?AM (20 hours ago) to me Meet Dash AKA Possum! Hi, I'm Dash but my foster mom calls me Possum. Actually she calls me Possumsauce because I'm really pawsome (that means awesome) and I kind of resemble a little possum. I am a sweet, funny, silly, energetic 3 month old 2lb chihuahua boy. My birthday was March 18th. I was born with a cleft lip and cleft palette. I went to a dental specialist and he told my foster mom and the rescue that I don't have a lot of bone between my nose and the roof of my mouth that its it's mostly cartilage. I also don't have a lot of space in my tiny mouth, so surgery to fix my cleft would be really challenging and has a higher chance of not working. It also would likely require multiple surgeries and recovery would be hard on such a tiny guy like me. Right now I have excellent quality of life so my foster mom got with the rescue and they collectively decided not to do the surgeries. I drink out of a water fountain and eat little meatball dog food from the pet store called Fresh Pet and I have not had one issue. My foster mom will give you all that information If you decide to inquire about me! She can tell you everything that she knows as she raised me from when I wasn't even a week old. I'm happy! I run and play all the time! At this point in my life I prefer playing over cuddling but as I get older, that may change. When I'm in the room with you, you can't help smile. I'm so happy and so sweet and really wanna be near you with a toy. I LOVE toys!!! I'm also great with other dogs. I live in a home with lots of dogs and my foster mom fostered another little puppy with me so I didn't have to be alone. He got adopted already. My foster mom is really good at saving lives of babies like me, but she's a little handicapped and hasn't been great at working with potty training so I'm not potty trained yet. I do have the idea of potty pads and when I'm in my play area I do normally go to the potty pad to potty so I have the gist of it.
