Dash

Meet Dash! Dash is a sweet one year old that was turned in at a shelter in Kentucky because his previous owners didn't like his tail. We love his tail! He is neutered and up to date on all current vaccinations. At only 42 pounds, he could stand to gain some weight. Dash absolutely loves to give kisses and snuggle up to his humans. He is friendly with people and gets along great with his current foster brother, an Aussie. If another dog is overbearing or catches him by surprise, Dash isn't always a fan; we think he simply doesn't know how to react in those cases. Dash is very curious and loves to explore his environment. He walks well on a leash but could use some more training on walking alongside you. He is crate and mostly potty trained but could use some work on basic commands. His foster family is working on teaching new commands and boundaries. He is food motivated and loves praise, which helps with training! He is a medium energy Aussie who loves to run and play. One of his favorite things to do is splash around in the water. He enjoys a bone while lounging on the sofa. You can always find Dash curled up close to his humans or playing with a toy nearby. Dash would thrive in a home with someone who can help build his confidence and is dedicated with his continued training. A fenced yard would be preferred since he can be a bit of an escape artist. He would benefit from living in a home with another dog that is similar, either an Aussie or a dog that is submissive, or with someone that is home more regularly. At just a year old, Dash still has puppy tendencies and will need someone that can be patient with him. If there are children in the home, they should be older children.
