David

David is a beautiful grey, silver and black Australian Cattle Dog. He has a very striking appearance and his coat is very pretty. He was neglected by his former owners and not provided with proper shelter during the cold weather days and nights recently. It was also discovered that he had a bad cut on his leg that needed medical attention. Because of this, he was surrendered to his foster family and is now available for adoption. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. David is a very sweet and loving dog. He was never given a chance to be part of a family before so he is learning a new world at 1.5 years of age. He has learned quickly that people are good and is friendly with adults, children, cats, and other dogs. His foster family has 4 dogs ranging from 4 to 90 pounds and he is wonderful with all of them. He is very kind, gentle, and learning how to play. He loves hugs and wants to sit in a lap but does not realize he is 50 pounds! He enjoys being outside on warm days to lay in the sun with his foster family. He has been crate trained and knows "sit, stay, come, kennel up, outside and potty outside". He is 100% housetrained. David will wait by the door to let us know and come and get us if we do not see him! David will even allow his teeth being brushed! He rides great in the car. David is not a working dog; he will need a family who is looking to add a family member. David is fearful of loud voices and loud noises. He would prefer a home with a laid back feeling and no loud voices.
