Deacon

This handsome guy is Deacon, an approximately 2 year old male in the Yakima area. Deacon was acquired by a good Samaritan who was responding to a Craigslist ad. When he saw how skinny Deacon was, and how he was being kept, he went ahead and purchased him from the person just to get him out of there. He’s only had Deacon a week or so, so there are a lot of unknowns yet, but so far he tells us that Deacon his good with his three young children, and was told by the previous owner that Deacon had lived with 3 yo and 4 yo children and was fine with them. Deacon has shown some aggression towards the male French Bulldog already in the home (admittedly a Frenchie with poor dog-dog social skills), as well as a female Rottweiler puppy. But this seems to be getting better as Deacon gets settled in the home. As far as he knows, Deacon has been kept mostly as an outside dog/in a kennel run. They are working on house training and basic obedience and he seems to be picking things up quickly and is eager to please. He seems to be friendly with all people he meets, and is very playful – he loves playing with the soccer ball. We will update his post as we learn more, but Deacon is in need of a place of his own. Other dogs on a case by case basis. Right now he is not yet neutered and vaccination status is unknown.
