DELILAH is a super cute American Bulldog mix! She is 5 years old and weighs 72 lbs. Delilah is currently living in a foster home, where she is doing great! She loves attention and is always seeking out her foster parents for some love and affection. She lives in a foster home with another dog her size and does great. She's totally house trained. Delilah also enjoys her outdoor time in the backyard. She sees the deer that come near her yard but she just likes to chill and watch them, and doesn't bark or try to jump the fence.
Delilah lived on a chain 24/7 before coming to us. She's really benefited from living in a foster home where she's loved and cared for. When Delilah first arrived in her foster home, she was afraid of men. After just a few days, she became good buds with her foster dad!
Because in her past she'd had to fend for herself to get enough to eat, Delilah would grab treats out of people's hands and you had to watch your fingers. Now she's learned to take treats very gently while her foster mom gives her tons of praise to reward her.
Delilah initially was mouthy and would give little nips to her foster mom's hand to get attention when she wanted to be petted. She's completely stopped that now that she's settled in and is no longer starved for attention. She's a very happy girl and very happy to see her foster parents, and she will get the zoomies and bounce around, but she doesn't put her mouth on them for attention anymore.
Delilah is nervous around kids right now, so she'd do best in a home without young kids. And her foster mom said that she still needs more guidance with taking treats to be able to take treats gently from a child.
Delilah's foster mom said that Delilah is a quick learner and a people pleaser who deserves a family who will love her-- and she has so much love to give back!
