Meet Dexter! Dexter is a beautfiul border collie who is around 4 years old and weighs 50 pounds. He's enthusiastic, energetic and ready for adventure! Dexter is a true country boy who enjoys running through the fields and playing with the hose when it's time to water the garden! Border collies are an incredibly intelligent and loyal breed. We can't wait to see what all this smart boy will be able to do in a home with training and stability!
Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster-based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
