Patience and tenderness are key to earning 15-month-old Diamond's trust. This darling "diamond in the rough" is 20 pounds worth of paw-tential, and once she felt comfortable with her foster mom, she started snuggling up close to her and resting her head on her. Extremely cute when she does so, Diamond is also adorable when she shows how much she loves running around and jumping and playing fetch before curling up cozily on the couch and just chilling. She does well with the resident children and their friends, provided they start slowly and pet her under the chin, and being naturally friendly, she enjoys engaging with other friendly dogs while being kind towards the resident cats. Fond of little plush toys, shin bones, lick mats, balls and Frisbees, Diamond likes and accepts all treats gently, is highly food motivated, currently knows "sit," and is learning her other commands. Crate trained, at work on her leash skills, and almost fully house-trained, Diamond is guaranteed to sparkle in a patient and loving home that will continue bolstering her confidence and complete her training, including her commands, in exchange for her own enduring loyalty and love. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $500. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
