Come meet a real Diamond in the Ruff! This 30-pound, 5-year-old Feist Mix came to us from an overcrowded rural shelter. Sweet Diamond had lived her entire life in a home... until her humans split up and left her and her buddy, Tony, out in the yard to fend for themselves. Out in the elements, fleas and allergies took their toll on her coat, and she contracted heartworm and other flea-borne illnesses. But she's healing. With meds, good food, and a clean place to lay her head, Diamond is starting to sparkle and shine! She's affectionate, playful, a little sassy, and so smart! She puts her brain to work figuring out all the ways to kiss us. That's her mission -- give all the kisses, get all the cuddles! And, if you're looking for a ready-made pair to keep each other company when you're busy or not home, Diamond and Tony (M, 7-years-old, Beagle Mix) are fabulous together! But don't worry -- we'll keep Tony company if a pair isn't right for you. Animal Aid will cover heartworm treatment costs -- even after you bring Diamond home! This Diamond wants to be EVERYONE'S best friend -- please meet her, and let her be yours! We're open every day, including weekends and holidays, from 9am to noon, no appointment necessary.
