Meet Diego, an adorable 1-year-old terrier mix full of energy and affection. He was rescued from Mexico from an unfortunate situation where his family was not able to provide him with his basic needs and vet care. Since then, he's been in a wonderful foster home where he's settling in nicely! He's still learning his basic commands, and his foster family is working on helping him stay calm when they come home as his excitement and playful nibbles can be a bit much! On walks, Diego is chill and easygoing, strutting his stuff with some cute spins thrown in. He's best buddies with his foster doggo sibling, and loves sharing a bed with him for naps and cuddles. He's got a good appetite, totally house-trained, and is not a barker. Diego really comes alive outdoors - he loves walks and hikes and just being his foster family's sidekick. His curiosity sometimes leads to testing boundaries (like wanting to jump off the balcony!), likely a habit from his previous outdoor life, but his foster family is helping him adjust and feel secure indoors. Diego is a sweetheart who rarely barks or whines, always eager for attention and checking in with whoever's walking him. He adores snoozing belly-up in his bed or snuggled in their arms. His foster mom often catches him wagging in his tail while dreaming! Diego's zest for life and affectionate nature make him the perfect companion for anyone ready for adventures and cozy moments together. If you see me online I am still available for adoption!
