DIESEL

Hi! I'm Diesel and my foster tells me I am the absolute goodest boi. I arrived to Rocky Mountain Puppy Rescue after months of being in the shelter with a really sore hip and leg. Because of an old injury the most comfortable decision was for my back leg to be amputated and honestly, I don't even miss it! When I had four legs the doctor said I must have been in so much pain but I always had a wagging tail and smile on my face and played with my nine year old foster brother from day one - and I understood the assignment when he asked me to chill out. I am super fast with three legs and when I run my ears go back, my eyes get wide and I get low to the ground for optimal speed. I do really good on a leash and since I was in the shelter for so long I really enjoy stopping to sniff the flowers and sometimes I even find an old water bottle or can on the ground and since I am super environmentally friendly I love to pick it up and then run with it in my mouth (you can take a dog out of the streets) I also LOVE swimming and hiking - going to the river or a lake is so fun for me and I am really getting the hang of swimming as a tripod. Stairs, big mountains, rocky terrain? No prob, my three legs are strong. When I snuggle I prefer my entire body to be touching you and for you to tell me how soft and shiny my coat is and I will fall asleep snoring in your ear at night with my head on your shoulder - or if you prefer I will also sleep soundly in my crate or dog bed! My foster says I am pretty trusting too because I can free roam in the house like the other adult dogs in my house and I never get into anything. I think cats are pretty cute and just leave them alone or give them a little sniff when they walk by. I love meeting new people, kids and dogs and will greet everyone with a wagging tail and big smile! I am hoping someone who loves to take their dogs adventuring and exploring adopts me!
