**PLEASE BE SURE YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT WHEN REQUESTING AN APPLICATION!!** 3-10-24: Still no one is asking to meet me and I am now going on 9 months in Foster---please can I come live with and love on you?? 2-21-24: 2 more months have passed, and you guessed it, no one has asked about me--I am a great PEOPLE PERSON DOG!!! I love my hooman so much!! 12-11-23: 6 months later, and still I am here, with no one really interested in me. Don't get me wrong, I love my Foster home, filled with some great Foster brothers and sisters, but I really want a home of my own. Will you please give me a chance to show you how great I am? Do you have a couch, well, I can show you how I like to chill next to you! My one "bad" habit? I will jump a 4 foot fence, but I stay right by, and try to figure out how to get back in. If you are on the outside, and I'm inside, I'm gonna jump it, because I just want to be with you. A 5 foot privacy fence would be ideal to keep me in, which is what I really need, but if no fence, then you would need to take me out on the leash! I do LOVE to bark at the rain drops, lol--hey, it's just a little quirk of mine, and I don't mind getting wet! I enjoy engaging with the squirrels in my back yard, and I will just sit and watch them in the trees, but they never seem to want to come down and play! I love to ride in the car, and I am a great co-pilot! 10-25-23: 4 months in rescue, and only had 1 person come meet me, but I wasn't the right fit for their life. I am sad that no one is asking to meet me! Why?? 6-12-23: Since my brother was adopted, I have been so sad...I miss him. It would cheer me up if I knew you wanted to meet me! My Mom says that I have calmed since he left, so that is not a bad thing! I am a good boy---I really am! I do like to lay on the couch next to you! Do you have a couch I can lay on? I also like to follow you to the bathroom, lol....hey, don't all us K9's do that?! 6-7-23: Today is a great day! I was rescued from the shelter! Hey everyone, my name is DIESEL FARLEY and let me tell you all about me! I am a 4 year old Whippet mix handsome boy, who ended up at local Animal Control with my 2 brothers, when our owner was no longer able to care for us. Well, one of my brothers was adopted from the shelter, and the other was rescued by this great rescue! He too has found his furever home, so now it's my turn! My current weight is 23 pounds, and I am current on my vaccines, am chipped, neutered and heartworm negative! I do LOVE toys, but I am very guarding of them, so for that reason I can NOT have them. I am great on my house and crate manners--the perfect boy!! I walk well on the leash, love to car ride, and am good with other dogs-but cats are unknown. I will be best with older children, as I like to jump up, meaning no harm, but I am working on that! I do know the 'sit" command. So, if you are looking for a sweetheart of a dog, just a bit on the energetic side, and your buddy for life, I do hope that you'll choose me! I look forward to meeting you soon!
