Ding Ding

Ding is a very loyal, loving lap dog. Ding also believes in his own greatness. He is 4 year old, healthy, housetrained and very affectionate Pekingese, who loves to snuggle and give kisses. His owners returned to Hong Kong for a visit and then couldn't return to Canada. Ding was left behind with people who did not care for him. Arriving at the shelter, matted and dirty, Ding had a 'spa day' and now he looks glorious in all his plumpness. A reduced diet and some exercise will remedy that. Ding was also a condo dog. He thinks running upstairs is fun and then waits for his foster mum to come up and carry him down. Ding is now getting lessons in how to come downstairs all by himself. Ding enjoys walks and car rides and he is fine with other dogs. Unless food is involved. Ding loves his food...and everyone else's. Next to his caregiver, food means EVERYTHING to Ding. To avoid conflict between his foster brother and sisters he eats alone in another room. Ding would be happiest in a home where he is adored as the one and only 'child' or with an experienced "small dog" person.
