ADOPTED!
Hi! My name is Dixie but my foster mom calls me "Dixie Cup" because I'm so little and sweet. I only weigh 5 lbs and am about 5 months old. I lost my home when my first owner got sick and had to go to the hospital. She brought me to the shelter where I was really scared with all the big dogs barking, but--lucky for me--a nice rescue group took me home and is fostering me until my new owner comes to adopt me. I am a happy, busy little girl and I love other dogs, and cats. In fact, I love everybody! But, because I'm so tiny, my foster mom says I'd do best in a home with no small children. Actually, she says I'm the perfect dog, so she is looking for the perfect home for me--specifically, someone who is home much of the time.If you have a fenced yard, that would be great (no invisible fencing, please). But because I'm so tiny, your fence would have to be totally escape-proof because I can squeeze through really small spaces. I'm almost housebroken, but because I'm so small I have to go potty pretty often, so my foster mom doesn't want me to be a latch-key dog. My adoption fee is $225. If you are interested in learning more about me, you can e-mail Marti at:
[email protected] and--if she feels your home situation would be just perfect for me--she will send you an adoption contract.

read more about our rescue's adoption policies and fees. We do not operate a
humane society or shelter, so we do not have a facility that is open to the
public. Our dogs are fostered by volunteers in private homes, and are not
available for viewing until an adoption application is filled out and references
are checked. Please read the information on our home page (by clicking on our
rescue name below this dog's photo) before contacting us.
