Great, easy going couch/TV buddy
Dobbins is a low-energy couch potato and would be perfect for a single person or a couple who is low-key (I'm thinking recently retired and not too active).
He loves to cuddle and loves affection. He is strong on-leash and is learning not to pull, so someone who has had a pittie or large dog before would be ideal.
He will cry a little when you leave, but is completely house trained and non-destructive. I've had to go into the office for work and he has been wonderful at home, alone.
Dobbins is a smarty pants! He is very treat motivated and loves praise and people. He knows: sit, paw, down, stay and touch.
He will nudge your hands and arms if you stop petting him to remind you he would like pets, please.
Dobbins had not great experiences with other dogs in the past and will need to be an only pet, but he loves so much and so hard, you won't need another. He is a bit of a klutz, so kids 14 and up would be ideal.

To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself.
