Dodger has an incredible and inspirational story. Take a moment to read his story to boost your faith when things look darkest. DODGER'S BIO: Due to overcrowding, Dodger had been kept in isolation with no interaction or natural light at a Los Angeles shelter for 3 SOLID MONTHS. On June 8th, Dodger was finally let our of his kennel where he squinted in the daylight that he hadn't seen in over 90 days. His tail was tucked and his body crouched as he tried to understand this unexpected kindness and attention. Dodger's life was SCHEDULED TO END two days later. But volunteers quickly recognized his remarkable gentleness and with great resolve, pulled together their resources to rescue him. ONE HOUR before his scheduled euthanasia, Dodger was rescued with the help of a rescue group and dedicated volunteers. Instead of walking the green mile to the lethal injection chamber, he took a freedom ride in a Honda SUV under sunny skies. Watch the video of his great escape!! Dodger is an intelligent dog with focus. He follows commands such sit, stay and down. Dodger is also puppy affectionate, and easy going. He takes treats very gently and is eager to please. He gets along with other dogs and loves all people. AND he is HOUSEBROKEN!! (Told you he was smart.) Dodger is handsome, young, grateful, smart, and gentle.
