Dodger *Foster to Adopt*

This guy is Dodger! Dodger is a 15 week old male chihuahua mix puppy in need of a forever home. Dodger’s mother, Dobby, entered CRT as a pregnant momma after her owner could no longer care for her. Dobby gave birth to her puppies, including Dodger, on 3/10/24. Dodger is tan with a little white on his chest. Dodger is currently 9.5 pounds and will grow more before he reaches his adult size. The breeds of his parents are unclear, so we do not have a good estimate of what Dodger’s adult size may be. Dodger loves to play with his siblings and the other pups in his foster home. He loves to run around outside! Dodger has not yet been around children, but his other foster siblings do great with children, so this may be the case with Dodger as well. Dodger gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home. Dodger knows to go potty when he goes out into the fenced backyard, but he’s not fully potty trained yet. He also hasn’t had much leash training so will need to work on this with his forever family. Dodger appears to be healthy. Dodger has been fully vetted and has received his age-appropriate vaccinations. Dodger has been diagnosed with cryptorchidism (an undescended testicle). However, this is a pretty simple fix that will be treated at the time of his neuter. Dodger is too young to be neutered just yet, so he will be considered foster to adopt status until he is old enough to have the procedure done. Dodger will be microchipped prior to adoption. Your current dogs/cats must be spayed or neutered unless a veterinarian has determined that your current pet(s) should not be fixed due to medical reasons. They must also be up-to-date on shots and on HW preventative. Reference checks and a home visit are required so southeast dogs can only be adopted in NC/SC, VA, TN, AL, MD and GA. Dodger may also be considered for adoption in our midwest region (MI, MN, IL, WI, OH, KY) provided the right applicant is found and willing to pay transportation fees.
