Hello, my name is: Dolly DOB: 08/22/2021 Sex/Breed: Spayed female Treeing Walker Coonhound mix Weight: 50 lbs Friends: Dogs, older kids Traits: Shy at first, sweet, curious, athletic Rescued From: Owner surrender Dolly was rescued from a desperate situation. She was one of 30 dogs and puppies living in a small home. Their owners reached out for help due to medical issues, and the local rural shelter was unable to provide them any assistance other than euthanasia due to overcrowding. We are grateful help was sought and we were able to do our part to keep these dogs safe! If you remember the Bluey litter of heeler/hound puppies we had available for adoption last summer, Dolly is their mama! She is now ready to find a forever home of her very own. This beautiful girl is quite the catch! She is great with other dogs but does not rely on them. Whether she is an only dog, has a bunch of doggy siblings, or simple socializes regularly in her forever family, she'll be content. She'd prefer a home without cats. Dolly loves human interaction once she gets to know you. She can be a little shy at first but is quick to trust if given the chance. Dolly walks great on a leash, and she is house- and crate-trained. This girl has looks AND brains! She is super smart and treat motivated. Her ears are as soft as velvet - just like her personality! We absolutely adore this mama and cannot wait to find her the devoted forever family she so desperately deserves!
