Dolly

Have you ever wanted to own a German Shepherd…but reconsidered because you thought it would be too big? Or what about a Chihuahua? Did you feel that would be too small, or maybe not quite the dog you envisioned for yourself? Well, meet Dolly, who is the best of both worlds. Although without a DNA test, there is no way to guarantee her mix, the vet is fairly certain she is a Shepherd/Chihuahua mix of some sort. Our vet thinks she will be 25-35 pounds max full grown. Of course this is a best guess and we don't know for sure, Dolly is estimated to be around 12 weeks old and weighs about 11 lbs. She was found walking on a busy road in Cypress, TX. After checking for a chip, and knocking on doors in the neighborhood nearby, she seems to have been dumped about a week ago and left to fend for herself. Her foster family doesn’t understand how ANYONE could dump this sweet girl. She LOVES to snuggle and chew on bones. She’s great with kids, dogs, and cats (as long as they don’t swat at her first…but she only barks to tell them how she feels, she doesn’t chase them) She is working on being house-trained and crate-trained. Although, her foster mom doesn’t have the heart to leave her in the crate for too long. Her favorite activities include chewing on rawhide-free bones, snuggling, and playing with her foster brothers and sister. She is looking for a forever home with somebody who is familiar with the German Shepherd breed and likes to go on walks. She would do well in a pack or by herself…as long as she can snuggle at the end of the day. She does not like the rain or crunchy dog treats. She likes the chewy kind.
