Donnie

Meet Donnie! The super sweet and very smart 7-month-old pup! Donnie has almost mastered the sit command and is learning not to jump on people. He loves following his humans around the house and just wants to be near them all the time. Donnie is crate trained, but he'll get sad if crated while his people are still in the house - he just wants to be right with you! He often sleeps at his owner's feet, under the desk when they work. Donnie is mostly potty trained and likes to go outside about 10 minutes after eating, which helps prevent accidents. He's good with kids, as he just wants to run and play. Donnie is still a puppy at heart and will grab anything left on the floor to play keep away with. He's also learning not to jump and may try to chew on his people, but he's very easily redirected, and they're working with him daily! He loves to be pet and has a beautiful coat with gorgeous markings. Donnie is likely a shepherd mix but is definitely 100% mutt. An ideal home for him would include another large dog or humans around the majority of the time, with people to love on him and continue his training. Best with older kids, Donnie has handled training great and is super smart. He doesn't jump on furniture or people, is fully house and crate trained, and is mostly leash trained. Donnie's owner's husband really wants to keep him, but the rest of the family isn't convinced that he's the right fit for them and are holding out hope for his perfect home.
