DOOBIE

Doobie is the BEST companion, and we know once you learn more you will agree! As a volunteer says, Doobie is a joyful goofster in the play yard. He loves running after balls, exploring, and exercising. That said, he is also calm and smart. He'd be more than happy to entertain himself with a chew toy or puzzle. He is also housetrained, and frequently goes to the bathroom in designated spots at the shelter. This is sure to make the transition to your home easy for yall. Hes a loose leash walker, and easy to get in and out of the kennel. Patience is something this goof ball has a lot of! He went on an outing recently and did excellent on a long walk, with lots of traffic, but checked in with lots of eye contact while he sniffed at his new environment. Volunteers and Staff who know him well say that with a trusting handler who can go slow at first, he will thrive! When you first meet Doobie, bring treats and sit on his level on the ground. Once you do that, he warms up to you and will roll over for bellyrubs! It may take this guy a minute to sniff you out, but after that, he will happily show off Sit and Shake for treats, or shower you with affection! Want to laugh for the rest of your life?
