Dorian is a 6-7 year old neutered Akita mix who is available for adoption in San Diego, CA. He is such a good boy and loves other dogs, big and small! Dorian was caught as a stray in 2022 and then spent 680 long dogs in a shared concrete kennel at South LA shelter, rarely getting human interaction or walks. Somehow this didn't break his spirit. He is just a happy, spunky guy who is grateful for everything. Dorian is as loyal and loving as they come. He is crate trained, potty trained, and knows several commands. He can be nervous around strangers, but once he knows you, he loves you for life! Dorian is dog friendly, and he is an absolute goofball when he plays. Dorian loves to go for walks (cue the happy hops) and crash for a nap next to his person. He would be fantastic with a person with Akita experience or someone who understands/has researched the breed. Dorian is up to date on vaccines, and currently on flea tick and heartworm medication. Overall. he's in good health, and he weighs 80 lbs. We recently did his DNA test with Embark, and he is an Akita Inu, American Akita, Pittie mix.
