My Story

Please contact foster at [email protected] Doris is such a good, incredibly sweet girl - she gets along with all dogs, big and small. She knows some basic commands and listens when you tell her to come or get off the sofa (she loves the sofa!). Doris is a superb walker. She only slightly pulls if she sees something (like a deer or squirrel) but overall has great leash manners. She is so good about her bowl and food. I'm fostering another dog from ACC (a little Chihuahua) and Doris gladly shares her bowl with him - no food aggression or resource hoarding at all! She likes water - as you can see from the pictures attached - having had a great time in my parent's pool. Doris is a long, lanky dog (around 72 pounds) but is as gentle as can be. She would make a great companion for anyone. She is good around kids, and people of all ages. I highly recommend her to a family or couple who are looking for an easy-going, smart, sweet dog. Just to explain how good she is, while she was at ACC, she showed no interest or showed any stress. In fact, that's what drew me to her, how calm and sweet she was in a chaotic environment.
