My Story

Please welcome Dorito to our Rescue! Here’s his “Get to Know Me” information     -    2 years old     -    69% Chihuahua, 9% Chow Chow, 7% Poodle (Toy and Miniature), 5% Pomeranian (see photo)     -    20 lbs     -    Microchipped, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations     -    Fully potty trained     -    Doggy door trained     -    Crate trained (sleeps all night without a peep)     -    Leash training in process     -    Loves his foster siblings and needs a playmate or two     -    Needs a yard (he loves to run around)     -    Loves people once he gets to know them (he’s a little shy at first)     -    Best with children over 10 (he may get too excited with younger kiddos)     -    $350 adoption donation     -    Super Handsome! I mean … just look at me! Dorito was rescued from the shelter after spending 10 months there, so he’s still learning how to be a dog in a home. He’s been with his foster family for nearly three months and is now ready for his forever family. Dorito has tons of playful energy. Foster mom describes him as a somewhat shy but very happy and loving dog … a cuddle bug Foster mom knows of no known behavior problems. Dorito is living rent-free in Oxnard. ** If you're ready and able to give Dorito a lifetime of love and wonderful memories, please fill out an application at https://dachshundsandfriends.org/adoption-application/ .
