Meet Dot - she can sure make a point! Dot is a sharpei mix that is full grown and currently weighs 31 pounds. We believe she is 1 to 2 years old and is amazingly sweet with humans!! Dot is great with other dogs in causal settings (like on a walk) but does have resource guarding issues with food and toys with other dogs. Given her resource guarding issues with other dogs we believe Dot should be in an home as an only dog or someone with experience/trained in resource guarding behavior. If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs, one application will be fine. We have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, and your application may be missed if you only apply once. We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and the perfect forever home for our dogs. We appreciate you working with us. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.
