Doug

Doug is one handsome guy! He is friendly, affectionate, loyal, playful, athletic and LOVES kisses. Here is his foster's write up about him... Hi, My name is Doug (or Dougie) and I'm approximately 4 years old and looking for my forever family. I've been living in the shelter since September 2022 and was rescued by Lucky Tails in January of 2023 with very little time to spare. I love people, all people. I do not get scared or bark at them. I look forward to cuddling on the couch and snuggling with them. I even get to wear a work vest so I can spend the day with my foster Dad, it's so much fun! I get a lot of attention from people who meet me and they tell me how handsome I am. Doug is a 70 lb Tan American Staffordshire Terrier mix with strikingly handsome looks. He is the sweetest dog, everyone he meets absolutely adores him. When he gets home he runs to me with tail wagging and gives me kisses. We were able to put him in the bathtub easily and he will stand there nicely until we are done. No issues with him at all. Doug hasn't had any accidents in the house and will walk to the back door and stand there looking at us when he needs to go out so he seems to be potty trained! He's very easy to have in the house, currently sleeps in the kennel all night with no issue. Continuing his nap on the couch is just fine with him! He is a very chill, a gentle giant. He likes to play with toys and is very easy to please. He is not destructive, at all. His favorite thing is a steak flavored nylabone and he will chew and chew on it. We really enjoy having him here.
