Dougie

This gorgeous boy is Dougie, a 2 year old heeler/ Australian cattle dog. His beautiful soft brindle brown and white fur has a hint of red that shows in the sunlight. His sweet, stoic personality will make him a great new family member for both those with or without herding dog experience. He loves people and is very affectionate, traits not always seen in cattle dogs. He is calm and independent. He is good with dogs, and tolerant of crazy dogs antics. He is good with dog savvy cats and kids too! In fact he seems to love to snuggle up with kids. He is crate trained and housebroken. He seems to have been a farm dog in his previous life, and would love some work and activity in his new life. He would make an incredible adventure buddy and is happy to go on all your adventures! This guy is as happy hiking many miles as he is snuggling up for a movie marathon. He would be a great weekend warrior or can keep up with the strongest of athletes. He really is so easy going that he is up for anything. Some situations are still new for him and he can be a little timid occasionally, but he is happy to try new things and learn as long as he is by your side. Are you ready to help this sweet boy on the next chapter of his life? He will repay you with all the snuggles and companionship you can ask for! Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Dougie's adoption fee is $200.
