My Story

Animal Profile: Dozer is a 2 month old male Boxer mix who along with his 2 brothers joined us in Seattle on 7/29. They came from a hoarding situation; good samaritan just got in over their head. They were able to stay with their mom who is a boxer mix until they were 6 weeks old, when our Texas partner Saving Shelter Strays was able to take them into foster care. The boys are happy puppies doing well in foster care while they wait for their freedom ride to the PNW to find their forever homes. Foster Update: At just 8 weeks old, Dozer is a bundle of joy with captivating blue eyes and a coat of rich caramel fur that's as soft as a cloud. This little explorer has an innocent curiosity and is always eager to discover new corners of his world. When he's not on an adventure, you'll find Dozer snuggled up beside his favorite soft toy or cozily curled up on your lap, basking in the warmth of your affection. Dozer is as playful as they come, and his days are filled with energetic romps and endless fun with his equally spirited brother, Tank. Their playful antics and heartwarming bond are a delight to watch. But don't let his playful nature fool you-Dozer also has a knack for finding the perfect spot for a snooze, whether it's on a comfy bed or nestled in your lap. With his loving personality and irresistible charm, Dozer is sure to steal your heart and become the perfect companion for any adventure or quiet moment. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.
