Hi there! My name is Drummer, and I'm a 2-year-old, 63 pound, Lab Mix with a shiny black coat and soulful eyes. I might have had a rough start, being picked up as a stray in a rural town in North Carolina with my sister, but my spirit is as strong as ever. I'm a sweet, charming, and resilient boy who loves to explore the yard and run around. I'm mildly energetic and enjoy my walks, but I'm also fairly timid and love being around my people. There's nothing better than snuggling up next to you, offering comfort and companionship that's hard to match. Despite my past, I'm incredibly affectionate and gentle. My playful nature shines during walks and playtime, and I'm great with kids and other dogs. I've never been around cats, so we are not sure how I'd react to them. But I can be cat-tested if you’d like. I'm crate trained and getting used to being on a leash, just starting to learn commands. I'm looking for a home filled with love, activity, and plenty of belly rubs—something I've dreamed of for a long time. I'm quick to learn and eager to please, showing a lot of potential with just a bit of training and patience. I'm currently in my foster home in Simpsonville, SC, but I can be transported to other states for the right family.
