Duke

This is cutie Duke. He waited a very long month at the Laporte pound for someone to save him. He was then adopted and has been living the good life for about 2 years now. Unfortunately, Duke's family is being transferred to Belgium and guess who doesn’t get to go with them? Poor Duke!! His family is leaving in 3 weeks so we really want to get him rehomed before then so there is as little disruption for Duke as possible. Luckily Duke is the perfect pooch and I know we will find a new home for him very fast!

Duke is an extremely intelligent boy, sits on command and trains very easily. He gets along great with the other dogs in the house and they have lots of energy to burn off together! Duke is very, very affectionate and would make an excellent family pet. He adores kids and they adore him. Duke is also quite the wannabe lap dog and a loyal snuggler. Did I mention that is he 100% housetrained too?? He is crate trained too, but there is really no reason to crate him – he is an angel in the house! We are talking about one GREAT dog here! Duke is approx 3-4 years old and 80 pounds. He's still got plenty of energy and is very playful, and makes a great running partner for those looking for a running mate. He LOVES going to the dog park and running around with other dogs, and if there happens to be water nearby he's almost impossible to keep away from the water and he never wants to come out!
