Meet Falafel! He is a Frenchie/American Bully Mix. He is about 6 y/o. He came into the shelter as a stray with ulcerated eyes, a maggot-infested wound around his neck, and lacerations all over his body. After the vet examined him, it was determined that removal of his eyes was the only option to spare him of ongoing pain since they were infected beyond treatment.
The scars on his body show the amount of neglect he endured, but he is so resilient and adjusting to his new lifestyle! In spite of his injuries, Falafel is a friendly and a spunky boy with a lot of personality! He loves getting pets and scratches from people! He is good with dogs, however, please keep in mind that he can appear pushy at times since he cannot see. He loves playing with squeaky toys while also enjoying long naps throughout the day! Falafel would do best with a family where he isn’t left alone for long periods of time and who is patient with him as he continues to adjust.
