PSBR Welcomes FELINA, we named her this after the doe eyed fawn who fell for Bambi.
Felina has beautiful big eyes and ears and her name suits her wonderfully.
When she first arrived to PSBR, Felina was a victim of a car hit and run she had a broken pelvis and 2 dislocated hips. She is now healed quite well!!
Felina is a Chi/Manchester Terrier Cross - the ears give it away!!
Felina is approximately 4yrs old and weighs approximately 18lbs. She is attentive and loving, but is definitely an alpha female and likes all the attention, food and toys for herself.
February 06 Update from Felina's Foster Mom and Dad!!!
If you ever wanted your own little fawn.. or a dog-cat combo.. Felina's the girl for you. She may be delicate, but her heart is enormous and right away all she wants is to be with her people, her family and just be with you. She is quiet, easy-going, attentive and loving. She doesn't need your attention all the time, she's happy just lying next to you or at your feet or by your side. Her joy of joys is cuddling with you. She is playful (you should see her bat her hot-dog or Greenie around) and loves playing ball indoors. For all her delicate ways, she has a spunky side... when she loves you, she'll defend you - with her bark - but she won't be nasty about it. She's as clean as a cat - and cleans herself that way too - it's so unusual to see. Even though she's seems to have been abused and then run over by a car, she is nimble and loves to perch on high spots - like your pillow on your bed.. or the back of a sofa. She makes the cutest little moaning noises when she's settling in or enjoying a rub. She's housebroken and will let you know she has to go by going to the door or giving a little groan if it's first thing in the morning. She wormed her way into our heart on her second day with us.. which is when she started getting used to our place and schedule. She has been the most delightful and sweet little creature ever!!! She will make her people very happy - she tries so hard to make you happy - and she's smart and learns quickly. All she needs from you is: stability, care and of course love and affection. She's been known to distrust men - but she grew to trust her foster Dad - and now gives him kisses and loves to play with him. She's really best in a home with a single female or a couple OR a family with older kids who know how to be gentle - only because she's so easily hurt (physically). A relatively quiet family is best as having been abused and run-over by a car, loud and sudden noises make her flatten herself on the floor.
