Fern

Fern was surrendered to the shelter when her owner became too ill to care for her. Despite the upheaval in her life, Fern still greets the world with a perpetual smile. Fern is a little nervous of strangers in the beginning but that is a momentary issue as she quickly accepts people into her circle of friends. Once that happens, Fern forgets she is "big girl" and wants nothing more than to crawl into a lap to give kisses. She's an older girl who doesn't need a great deal of exercise and prefers an amble around the yard to a brisk walk. She is the a perfect couch potato! Fern walks appropriately on a leash and is able to comfortably walk by other dogs on the road although a slow introduction to other dogs is recommended. Fern misses the loving home she had and is hoping there is someone else who will open their heart and home to her. The shelter has an appointment only policy. We ask potential adopters to fill out our application, prior to a scheduled meeting. The staff is very accommodating, and we welcome any inquires.
