My Story

Adopted!

Fiona, Fiona - puppy -9 weeks old (as of May 7) - female - Beagle mix - black and white

Fiona is a dear and wonderful puppy. Her eye contact is steady and direct, and filled with the inordinate trust and joyful expectancy of a baby. She loves to snuggle and burrow, and already has learned to come when her name is called. To be honest, she also comes when any of her siblings' names are called as well, but the important thing is that she is so attentive and responsive.

Fiona is quite beautiful - she delights in the fact that she is becoming long-legged, and spends much of her playtime exploring the new ranges of motion that legginess makes possible. Her markings are striking and unique. Her little face is disarmingly expressive, and although she is quite comical, there is a plaintive quality to her as well.

Fiona is an outgoing, brave, and stable little soul. Her demeanor reflects the devoted and excellent nurturing of her Beagle mom, Betty, and, although we don't know whom to laud on the paternal side, he was obviously a stellar guy as well.

We are predicting that Fiona will surpass her mom in size - Betty is a fairly diminutive Beagle - we think that Fiona may achieve 35 pounds when grown.

Our required home for Fiona will have a securely fenced yard (no electric fences) and the established ability to provide a settled and safe home for this darling little one.
