Flirt

Flirt just needs a chance to charm you! He has the best expression of any of his siblings and he is always up for meeting new people! Flirt is 8 months old and he currently weighs about 39 pounds, but he is about 5 pounds over weight right now due to needed to be on prednisone for Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy (HOD). This is an autoimmune disease that we can see with larger breed puppies as they grow. It will go away on its own once his bones stop growing, but many dogs will only have an episode or two of it and then not relapse. Flirt was diagnosed in April and has been off of medication and is doing great! We do not think that he will get much bigger, so he is probably done with the bulk of his growing. We think that he will stay in the 40 pound weight range even when he is full grown. Flirt is SUPER cuddly and loves to nap and sleep with his humans or another dog. He is a bed hog! He also loves treats and he knows how to sit for his food. He is good with other dogs, cats, and kids. And goats, chickens, horses..... everyone! He is crate trained and is house trained. He walks well on a leash and is a good car rider. He is happy to play with other dogs, but only if a lap to sit on is not available.
