Staff says that FLUKE is a very friendly and sweet dog. He is about two years old and weighed 54 pounds when he arrived in March 2024. They thought he might be a Schiller Hound or mix. He has a very pretty mixture of red and black markings. Thanks to a partnership between the University of Tennessee and Cumberland County Animal Shelter, FLUKE was neutered on April 17. As a result, he can go home the same day that he is adopted! Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking a dog collar and leash with you to the adoption appointment in case you do decide to adopt him. Even better, take a dog crate with you – a large one, to that appointment. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!
