My Story

Was anyone else obsessed with Pound Puppies toys growing up? Because Frances looks like one of them. She's gotten very comfortable in our home and as much as I love her she really does need her own family. Frances has gained weight in our home, she came in as a skinny hound but now looks very healthy. She dances at mealtime with excitement! Despite being starving previously she is not food aggressive at all and waits until the other hounds are done eating to go check their bowls. She's learned how incredible the sofa and people bed are. The first week or two here she slept in her kennel with no complaints and most nights she sleeps on the couch, not in the people bed. She and Raymond have been playing a lot lately which makes me realize how she's still coming out of her shell but definitely enjoys playing with fur siblings. Like our full time dogs and every other foster Frances thoroughly enjoys chewing on the nylabone toys. When it's time for her foster family to leave for the day she goes right into her kennel. On good days she gets a kong with frozen peanut butter in it. Honestly, she believes any time she goes into the kennel she should get one but they are reserved for days when she's in there longer. Frances is the most loving girl and demands hugs! Foster mom gets down on her level so she can hug her around the neck. She doesn't pay any mind to the chickens out back but is pretty interested in our cat out front. She likes to watch him through the door while wagging her tail. She adores the children in her foster home and would like to have her own as well.
